As it is well known, safaris started in East Africa. When the early settlers went on a safari, they packed all that was needed: tents, chairs, cutlery, food, drinks, crystal glasses off with no luxury possible left behind. The safari crew always went a few days ahead to set up camp – and these are the origins of safaris and in particular the Mobile Camping safaris.
This is the experience that Msafiri Travels wants to share with you. We know that a personal touch adds greatly to your enjoyment and the memories of your holidays. We, therefore, carefully select an itinerary and safari programme that is carved around your personal requirements, complemented by experienced, talented and skilful personnel to fully cater for your needs.
We have inspected each hotel, camp or lodge that is featured on itineraries thus you are receiving firsthand information with no detail left out.
Whether you are a solo traveller, a family, a group of friends or looking to join a Group Safari, there is a safari for everyone at pocket-friendly prices without compromising quality.
Our Camping safaris are in large two-person tents with all necessary camping gear provided. On these in participatory safaris, you will be accompanied by a cook who will be in charge of all camping chores. Camping will either be in public/communal or private camps depending on requirements and budget.
Are you seeking to explore Africa like the early explorers did but still seek some comfort or luxury and the smell of freshly baked bread? Our Mobile Camps will give you the greatest freedom to explore the African wilderness. With a maximum of 10 people per camp, these semi-luxury and luxury tents are suitable for a group of friends, honeymooners or families. Each camp has a crew of cooks, waiters, camp attendants, guides and a host/ess.
If comfort and luxury is your thing, our Lodge safaris offer various levels of accommodation from the middle-level comfortable lodges, to the totally exclusive luxurious lodges for the discerning traveller.
Our multi-destination cross boarder safaris combine any of the five countries, Tanzania. , Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe by road and/or flight in private or small group safaris.
A safari is not complete without a few days of relaxation on the Coast of East Africa. Whether it’s Unguja (famously known as Zanzibar), Pemba in Tanzania, Pemba in Northern Mozambique or the Lake Shores of Lake Malawi, these beaches are untouched with a variety of accommodation and water sports to choose from.
Our services are not confined to safaris alone. Contact us for: accommodation and flight reservations, airport transfers, car hire, conferences, cross border road transfers, excursions and incentive travel.
We have joined hands with the Rotary Club of Dar es Salaam- Mikocheni in the school shape up initiative This project aims to give young people from poor neighbourhoods access to quality primary school education by renovation school buildings, providing desks, building toilets and donating books.
