After breakfast transfer by boat to Gombe. This is a 2.5 hour ride on Lake Tanganyika. Stunning scenery and expansive views across the Lake. After lunch go for your first tracking of chimpanzee and overnight at Gombe Tent, full board.
After breakfast, you will begin the day by hiking to the Kakombe Falls and Jane’s peak.After lunch, depart for the late afternoon chimpanzee tracking and overnight at Gombe Tented Camp, full board

Gombe is the smallest park in Tanzania was established 1962. It has 52 sq km of forest running along the hills of the eastern shore of Lake Tanganyika. It is locate 20 km north of Kigoma nd 100 k north of Mahale N. Park. Gombe Stream is best known as the place where Jane Goodall did her pioneering studies on chimpanzees, beginning in the 1960s and continuing until this day.
The tracking usually starts in the morning from 08.00 and this can vary from half an hour to four hours depending on where the chimpanzees will be located. As you track the chimpanzees in the thick forest, you will pass through beautiful sceneries and hear thrilling sounds of birds and insects. Apart from chimpanzee there are other species of primates in the park. Colobus monkeys, red tail money, baboons, forest pigs and dik dik.
A certain level of fitness is required as there are some steep and challenging routes along the way.
Return to Kigoma after breakfast by boat to catch the 13.10 flight to Dar es Salaam.
