Itinerary

Day 1

Pick up from Hotel/airport and depart for Nyerere N.P. This will be a 4- 5 hours drive depending on the road conditions. Arrival time will be late afternoon. Thereafter depart for the late afternoon boat safari and overnight at Nje Bush Camp, full board.

Day 2

Accompanied by an armed ranger, we start the day with a walking safari followed by afternoon game drive. The walking safari starts as early as 06.30, bringing you close to some of the smallest animals and plants that you would not see on a vehicle game drive.  The crisp fresh African air mixed with the wild smell of the animals evokes your smell sense to the intoxication unique bush smell of Africa. There after with packed lunch, you will go for a full day safaris Overnight at Camp, full board.

Day 3

Full day game drive and overnight at Camp, full board.

Nyerere N.P covering 35,000sq km, this is the largest game reserve in the Africa. The reserve supports an enormous number of elephants, buffalos and wildebeests. Other rare species include the African Hunting dog. The park provides home for some of the last remaining black rhinos.

Day 4

The transfer to Mikumi will be through some of the most scenic parts of Southern Tanzania. Villages and the Uluguru Mountains dot along the way.  You will make a short lunch break by the road side arriving at the Camp by late afternoon.  Packed lunched en-route will be provided. Evening tour of a Maasai village and overnight at Mikumi full board.

Day 5

Full day game drive and overnight Mikumi full board.

Day 6

Depart for Ruaha National park. The drive to Ruaha is a truly fascinating one which gives you the real feel of the African countryside. The journey will see you pass  local villages and towns, baobab “plantations” before climbing  the Great Rift Escarpment passing Iringa Town and finally arriving to your Lodge. Arrival time will be  late and overnight at Camp, full board

Day 7

Full day game drive in Ruaha. Your guide will guide you through the park in such of the elusive wild dogs and herds of elephants and buffaloes. After picnic lunch, continue with late afternoon/evening game drive before departing for the lodge. This is the time that predators begin for their hunt for their evening meal, dinner and over night at  Camp, full board.

Day 8

Start the ay with a walking safari or balloon safari (optional), followed by game drive till evening. Return to the camp for overnight, full board.

RUAHA NATIONAL PARK, Tanzania’s second biggest park and host to a number of animals which rare or absent in the North. The rare animals include the African Wild dog, roan and sable antelope and the greater kudu. The Great Ruaha River, which provides life to the park, flows through the eastern side of the park and is home to hippos, crocodiles and a variety of water birds.

Day 9

Depart after breakfast to Dar es Salaam with packed lunch en-route.
